Add A New Chapter To Your Story
Join Us on our sourcing adventures in India & France
At Winifred & Evalyn, travel isn’t separate from what we do. It’s how we discover the makers, markets, textiles, and traditions that shape the shop itself.
Hiata travels regularly to France. Maria spends part of the year in India. Much of what we source comes directly from these relationships and travels: small workshops, brocantes, textile communities, family businesses, and artisan traditions that are still deeply woven into everyday life.
Over time, people began asking if they could experience these places with us rather than simply shop from afar.
So we began offering small, thoughtful journeys rooted in textiles, culture, sourcing, and human connection.

In Partnership With Turning Tide Travel
Our travel experiences are organized through Turning Tide Travel, Maria’s boutique travel company specializing in small-group textile and cultural journeys throughout India.
While Winifred & Evalyn shares the inspiration and sourcing side of these travels, Turning Tide Travel handles the trip planning, logistics, itineraries, and guided experiences themselves.
We don’t simply travel to buy things.
We travel to understand where they come from, who made them, and the stories they carry with them. Sometimes we bring those stories home to the shop. Sometimes we invite others to experience them alongside us.

Our journeys are intentionally small, flexible, and deeply hands-on.
