I LOVE this vintage Dorothy Thorpe Silver Rimmed Glass Punch Bowl and matching set of twelve glasses. The Mid-Century Modern vibe of this set is unmatched -- You just know a lot of spiked punch was consumed over the years from this set! 

The set is from the 1950s and 60s and in pristine condition -- no chips or scratches. The silver rim on the bowls and glasses is in perfect condition, too.

A short history of the Dorothy Thorpe punch bowl set: It was a popular mid-century modern glassware set, designed by Dorothy Thorpe in the 1950s and produced until the mid-1960s, known for its distinctive wide silver or sterling silver band on a round bowl and often paired with "roly poly" glasses. Thorpe created these designs by purchasing blank glassware and decorating them with her own sandblasted motifs or simple bands, and while many pieces lack a signature, the brushed finish and tarnish on real sterling silver can help identify them. The sets have experienced a resurgence in popularity, partly due to their featured use on television shows like Mad Men.
